Programme - Marking the 5thAnniversary of the Award 7 - 10 December 2013

There are three main events: the Exhibition „MOnuMENTI - The Changing Face of Remembrance”, author Marko Krojač; the Round table: Some answers to the challenges of peace-building, integration and solidarity; The Award Giving Ceremony. Events will take a place at Muzej Slavonije, Osijek, Trg Svetog Trojstva 2. The Anniversary of the Award is organised under the auspices of Ivo Josipović, President of the Republic of Croatia

About KRUNOSLAV SUKIĆ

Krunoslav Sukić participated in the shaping and founding of Centre for Peace, Nonviolence, and Human Rights in Osijek (November 1991). In the face of the war going on, with little knowledge of civil society, and even less experience of it, Sukić’s theoretical insights, his lifelong search for political alternatives to the one he wasn’t satisfied with, and, above all, his striving towards understanding, knowledge, clarity and truth were guidelines and inspiration in the effort to counter violence and build an alternative community.
